- Abstract
- Shape file combines data on dumping sites,disposal site and dumping ground, provided by European Environmental Agency with official data from Shape partners and data from nautical charts (IIM). Slovenian Environmental Agency (ARSO), Republic of Croatia Istrian Region and data provided by ECAT Tirana, Albania. Vector data have been provided by Shape project partners. "Shape Adriatic Atlas" administrators have harmonized all the data and their attributes in a unique layer covering the entire adriatic coast.

- European Environmental Agency provides data on dumping sites, extracted from Corine land cover 2006: Version 16 (04/2012) Data is combined with data provided by Slovenian Environmental Agency, Republic of Croatia Istrian Region and ECAT Tirana. ARSO statement: Implementing of the Rules on the landfill of waste (Official Gazette of the RS n. 5/00, 41/04 and 43/04) and Decree on the landfill of waste(Official Gazette of the RS, n. 32/2006) enabled to achieve that landfill operators who do not comply with the technical requirements for the operation of the landfill, have to close the landfill by our decision, while others had to adapt to the requirements and rules/regulation by the end of 2008. The data shows the locations of a planned (new) landfill - dumping area (regional centers for waste management), which ones of the existing landfills are adapting to technical requirements of the Regulations and which landfills will be closed.Data on dumping areas in Istrian Region of the Republic of Croatia: facilities for treatment and temporary disposal of hazardous waste, collection points of hazardous waste, facilities for biological and thermal treatment of waste, facilities for treatment of nonhazardous technological waste, dumping sites of municipal waste and internal dumping sites. Data is provided by Istrian Region. Data on dump sites in Albania are provided by Environmental Centre for Administration and Technology Tirana and contains information on dumping sites locations. Arpa Emilia-Romagna provided dredgoing site for ER region.
